After a goal on Friday, midfielder now looking for more England memories.

Adam Johnson is looking forward to more special moments in an England shirt after fulfilling his 'dream' by scoring at Wembley on his competitive debut.

The Manchester City winger came on as a substitute to score the third goal in the Three Lions' impressive 4-0 victory over Bulgaria on Friday night.

Following a perfect start to their Euro 2012 qualification campaign, Fabio Capello's side will now face Switzerland in Basle on Tuesday night.

Johnson, 23, admits he was disappointed to miss out on the World Cup squad this summer but is now hoping his first England goal will be the catalyst for many more.

"It was massive for me, scoring my first goal in my first competitive game," he said.

"The goal on Friday was the highlight of my career. As a kid you dream about scoring at Wembley for England.

"I've had a lot of texts saying it was a fluke! I haven't seen it again, but I'm sure I will. I'm sure my mum and dad have recorded it.

"That was definitely the career high for me. I just hope there are a few more.

"I have to keep going and I can't just settle on my laurels because I've scored one goal for England.

"It is brilliant being here. I don't mind having the pressure of performance - that brings me on more and makes me play better.

"The World Cup comes around every four years. No matter how it goes, it is always good to say you have been to a World Cup.

"I would have liked to go and show what I can do on the biggest stage. Now I have to wait another four years."
