European U17 Champions to parade trophy at Wembley.
Last season’s triumphant band of England U17 internationals will parade their European Championship trophy around Wembley this evening.
John Peacock’s young side won all five Finals matches in Liechtenstein in May and lifted the trophy for the first time ever. After negotiating their group campaign with a 100 per cent record, and then defeating France in the last four, they beat Spain 2-1 in the Final courtesy of goals from Liverpool’s Andre Wisdom and Ipswich Town’s Connor Wickham.
All 18 squad members will emerge from the Wembley tunnel at half-time in tonight’s match against Hungary and will no doubt be afforded a very warm homecoming.
