England coach Gary Neville spoke to Wigan Warriors rugby league squad this week
Gary Neville crossed codes this week, by working with the Wigan Warriors rugby league squad.
The England Coach and former Manchester United star was invited along to training by Wigan’s General Manager and former Great Britain star Kris Radlinski.
And Neville spoke to the squad during a break in their training schedule ahead of this weekend’s match with London Broncos as they bid to get back to winning ways.
Head Coach Shaun Wane revealed: "He was fantastic and we really enjoyed having him in.
"The players got a lot out of it and he explained to us the culture at Manchester United of Sir Alex Ferguson.
“All the boys said afterwards it is a similar model that we try to follow here.
“I liked him as a player, he’s a winner. He’s from a great culture at Manchester United and he understands what we’re trying to do here (with the younger players coming through).
“It was a real lift for the club.”
