England winger Sterling signs a new long-term contract with Liverpool

England winger Raheem Sterling has signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool.

Sterling, who turned 18 earlier this month, put pen to paper for the Reds after impressing during his 25 appearances this season.

The former Queens Park Rangers youngster, who moved to Anfield in 2010, has become a regular in Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool side this campaign having made his first team debut in March.

He also made his England Under-21s in October's Euro 2013 play-off double header with Serbia before enjoying his Senior bow against Sweden last month.

"It's every 18-year-old's dream," Sterling told Liverpool's official website after agreeing new terms on Friday.

"I'm just really grateful to be at such a big club like this.

"There's a lot more to be done. I haven't begun yet, as the manager has said.

"Hopefully I can kick on after the New Year and try to do my best for the team and the football club."
