Roy Hodgson's men have slipped one place on the FIFA list

England are sixth in the latest FIFA world rankings.

Roy Hodgson’s men have played two World Cup qualifiers since the last list was published, in October.

They comfortably beat San Marino 5-0 at Wembley before drawing 1-1 away to Poland.

Spain and Germany continue to lead the way, while Argentina are up to third, usurping Portugal, and Italy have climbed to fifth.

A resurgent Belgium, with their array of Premier League stars, have moved up ten places into the top 20 and Hungary are up 19 places to 30.

England’s next match is away to Sweden on Wednesday 14 November. Hodgson will name his squad for that game on Thursday 8 November.
