All of Ashley Young’s caps in 2010 came in the second half of the year, following the World Cup disappointment.

Always a lively performer in the Premier League for Villa, the former Watford man’s first appearance of the year came in the win over Hungary at Wembley and he followed that up with another cap in the 4-0 victory against Bulgaria in the European Championship qualifier.

He then appeared in the draw with Montenegro, before putting in a competitive display in the game with France in November to end the year on a positive note.
