England Manager relaxed over inclusion of King, Ferdinand and Johnson.

England Manager Fabio Capello has allayed any fears over the fitness of defensive duo Rio Ferdinand and Ledley King following the announcement of his provisional 30-man England squad.

The Manchester United defender has suffered with back problems this season, while Tottenham defender King has on-going knee troubles.

But Capello said: "I have been monitoring King for a long time. He is one of the best defenders in England. I have spoken to him about the injury problems but he says his knee is good.

"I am not concerned with Rio Ferdinand, I spoke with Sir Alex Ferguson and he told me Rio is fit and can play with no problems."

Capello also said he is keen to take a closer look at Adam Johnson at the Three Lions' training camp. The Manchester City midfielder has earned a place in Capello's provisional squad and the Italian is pleased with the former Middlesbrough star's progress.

"Adam Johnson is a really interesting player. He has played very well in the second half of the season with City," Capello said.

"He is a very interesting youngster and I want to check on him in the training camp."
