England players set for Manchester United's Champions League quarter-final clash.

All eyes will be on Manchester United tonight as they look to secure a berth in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League for the fourth consecutive year.

After Arsenal’s 4-1 defeat (6-3 on aggregate) to Barcelona last night, United become the only English team left in the competition and must overturn a 2-1 deficit against Germany’s Bayern Munich if they are to progress through to the next round.

Unfortunately for manager Sir Alex Ferguson, United are unable to call upon talismanic forward Wayne Rooney due to an ankle injury sustained in the first leg of the tie. He will, however, have Rooney’s England colleagues Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick and Gary Neville at his disposal.

The Three Lions trio look set to be involved in the action at Old Trafford, with both England captain Ferdinand and veteran Neville making good progress since coming back from injuries.

If Man Utd prevail tonight they will meet the winners of the evening's other quarter-final clash between French rivals Bordeaux and Lyon, with Lyon currently holding a 3-1 advantage.

The other semi-final will see Barcelona take on Inter Milan, who beat CSKA Moscow 2-0 over two legs to claim their final-four spot.

Manchester United's match with Bayern Munich can be seen live on ITV1 from 7.30pm tonight.
