The greatest player on the greatest stage.
No countdown to the World Cup would be complete without a mention of the great Edson Arantes do Nascimento, or Pele as the whole world knows him.
The Brazilian legend played in four World Cups, won three of them, scored 12 goals and is arguably the greatest player ever to kick a ball.
His full international career saw him notch
77 goals in 92 appearances and he’s even celebrated for the goals he didn’t score (remember the dummy against Uruguay and the halfway line lob against Czechoslovakia?).
Enough said, the man’s a genius.
