  • Fabio Capello

The most powerful man in British sport is focused on South Africa.

Fabio Capello was recently named the most powerful man in British sport in The Times Sport Power 100, and what Three Lions fan would disagree?

The Italian - who will turn 64 during the 2010 World Cup - was confirmed as England Manager at the end of 2007 and proceeded to oversee one of England’s most resounding World Cup qualifying campaigns in recent memory.

Since his appointment, Capello has commanded the respect and admiration of players, fans and media alike, and as such has raised the hopes and expectations of an entire nation.

But such pressure is of no consequence to Capello and if he believes he can achieve his magnum opus and lead England to glory in South Africa, who are we to argue otherwise?
