Soon all the talking ends and the action begins. After a dramatic week, we look set for an equally memorable match as Turkey and England go head to head...
As the kickoff getrs closer, the confidence of the hosts is palpable.
"Even if we played this game on the moon, Turkey would win," Sergen, the man who scored twice for Besiktas against Chelsea and may play tonight, has said.
"England should be warned that this will be their hardest game of the last 10 years and it will be a game that they will not forget for many years to come," Sergen continued.
"This is what we have promised and this is what we are going to achieve. We are the home team and everyone knows how Turkish full-back, Ibrahim Uzulmez, is convinced he will have David Beckham in his pocket.
"The coach gave me these videos of Beckham - they have everything on them from how he dribbles to how he beats defenders," Ibrahim said.
"Now I know everything about Beckham. In my memory, I have every one of his tricks.
"You can paralyse your opponent without touching them. I can close him down and prevent him going forward. I will put David Beckham in a cage.
The England skipper has been less pre-occupied with Ibrahim in his build-up to the game.
Beckham said: "It has been a hard week as we all realise. But, for 90 minutes, people can actually forget about what is going on all around the world and enjoy a match.
"It has not been the perfect preparation for us but we are a strong bunch and, if we win, that will say it all.
"There was pressure on us anyway but there is a lot more now and it is good that we are all strong characters.
"I think the crisis has gone now. We can only put it all right during the game. If some people think we have let the country down, we can put that right with the passion and the togetherness we will show.
"Personally, I am very offended by people questioning my patriotism but again the only way that can be put right is when people see the passion we will all play with."
England coach, Sven-Goran Eriksson believes the key will be not allowing that passion to overflow.
It as a danger of which Beckham is acutely aware.
He said: "My passion is always high whether it be a friendly international or a qualification game so it is up to me as captain to make sure the players are calm and have got cool heads."
Both sides certainly talk a good game.
Very soon the talking will stop.
