Latest news on the England midfielder's injury situation....
England midfielder Paul Scholes is set to enter an 'important week' as he continues to recover from his hernia problem...
Scholes was forced to miss England's double-header against Macedonia and Liechtenstein but he is now back in training at Manchester United.
"He has done some training this week," his club boss Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed. "He has settled down but it will be an important week in that if he feels it again then we are going to have to make a decision.
"There would be no point in him carrying on but if he comes through, then we'll get him in the team right away. We have Stuttgart coming along and it would be a great time for him coming back.
"He hasn't trained since he came off in the game against Wolves. We gave him two or three days rest after that game but he came in the following week for treatment and rehabilitation and went to see the specialist a couple of times," Ferguson added.
Scholes' last game for Manchester United was against Wolves on August 27. England play Turkey on October 11.
