Michael Gray hopes to use his four-month loan spell at Glasgow Celtic to catch the eye of Sven-Goran Eriksson...
Gray chose the Scottish giants ahead of offers from other clubs, including Olympique Marseilles, because he felt that the chance to play in Europe would help his international cause.
Under Kevin Keegan, Gray played three times for England, coming on asa substitute against Hungary and Sweden before starting in the Euro 2000 qualifier away to Bulgaria.
"I knew that if the deal went through I wopuld get the chance to play in the Champions League," the 29-year-old said.
"Playing for England was an unbelievable feeling and something I'm very proud of.
"I still have ambitions to add to my three caps and if I've got a chance to be seen and be seen doing well then Celtic is the place to be.
"It was an easy decision. I know how huge the club is, I know what the atmosphere is like and when you see that you want to be a part of it.
"To have a chance to play here is great."
