There are some big England games coming up this summer and we can bring you news of another intriguing encounter for Sven's men that could be in the pipeline...

TheFA.com can reveal that a friendly match away in Sweden next year is currently being discussed by the respective FA's.

"We can confirm that we are currently in discussions with the Swedish FA with a view to a friendly match in Sweden on March 31st next year," The FA's Head of Media Relations, Adrian Bevington, told us on Friday afternoon.

"The match would form part of the Swedish FA's centenary celebrations. "We are not in a position to confirm the fixture at this stage but we hope to do so in the near future."

With Sven and Tord two of Sweden's most famous sons and the two nations having gone head to head in Japan, it has all the makings of an excellent encounter. We'll keep you up to date with this story.
