England's match with Turkey last week attracted the largest TV sport audience of the year....The FA's Director Marketing & Communications, Paul Barber, told TheFA.com: "With a peak of 12.1 million people watching last night's Euro 2004 Qualifier against Turkey on BBC1 and an additional 1 million on Sky, we are delighted that the England team continues to attract huge numbers of people to watch our matches on television.

"Wednesday night's match also went out live on TV in 91 other countries - proving that the England football team's appeal all over the world is probably stronger than ever before."
