England coach Ray Clemence has this afternoon confirmed that reports of a tunnel

England coach Ray Clemence has this afternoon confirmed that reports of a 'tunnel bust-up' after last night's European Championship Qualifier have been 'blown out of all proportion'....

"When you've got a highly-charged atmosphere with adrenaline flying and a very disappointed team like Turkey were - because they thought that they were going to win that game - and you've got 30 grown men in a small space at the end of the tunnel, then there's bound to be some colourful exchanges," he told TheFA.com.

"Instances like these are not unusual in football. There was no fighting and no physical contact whatsoever. The whole situation was blown out of all proportion."

Last night Turkey coach Senol Gunes added: ``Because of stress and tiredness, there were a few rows in the tunnel but they are settled now.''
