Last four beckons for Lions

Tony Larkin's Blind Squad are into the semi-final of the Euros.

The England Blind Squad have cruised through to the semi-final of the European Championship with victories over Germany and Italy in Nantes, France.

England skipper, Dave Clarke, scored a hat-trick and passed 100 international goals as England defeated Germany 4-1 before Tony Larkin’s team saw off Italy with a comfortable 2-0 win on Tuesday.

Clarke’s hat-trick inside eight second-half minutes capped a great start to the tournament for England with Keryn Seal adding a fourth.

Only a consolation penalty for Germany in the last few minutes denied England a clean sheet.

Both Clarke and Seal were on the scoresheet again in the 2-0 win over Italy.

Humid temperatures of 90 degress plus made it difficult for both teams and early England pressure was rewarded when Seal converted from the penalty spot after a foul on Jonathan Gribbin.

Clarke made sure of England’s last four berth with the second to send Italy out of the tournament.

Tony Larkin commented: "We were organised and disciplined in our defending of the ball. Every member of the team, and we utilized everyone, knew the job they had to do and that's why we won."

England finish off their fixtures against France later today in a game that will decide who tops the group before starting the semi-final on Friday.
