The England Cerebral Palsy team are currently participating in the Arafura Games in Australia and one member of their squad is 17-year-old Dean Cartright from Manchester.

Dean recently became involved in the management team of The FA's Leadership and Volunteering Programme and his call-up represents the first time he has been selected for the Senior squad.

Dean is a qualified FA Coach and he was present at Soho Square in March this year when The FA launched its inaugural Scholarship Programme, guaranteeing Dean three personal mentoring sessions with a member of The FA National Faculty, and alongside a number of other young volunteers, Dean will look to use this programme to become a better or more qualified coach.

Replacing Graham Le Clerc in the 50th minute, Dean made his first appearance for the Cerebral Palsy team on Tuesday, helping The Three Lions earn a draw against the hosts in their opening match of the Games.
