Watch captain Darren Harris and Dave Clarke show excellent close control before finding the back of the net in England's 3-1 win in the European Blind Championships .

However, England were only guaranteed a spot in the last four when Greece beat Portugal 2-1 on Tuesday morning.

Manager Tony Larkin said: "We watched Greece secure our place this morning and there were a few fingernails being bitten when Portugal pulled it back to 2-1.

"So far the players have not played anywhere near the levels that they can. And up against Spain, we know that if we don't play to our potential, we stand no chance.

"However the players know that having beaten Spain as recently as a month ago, we have the ability in the team to get through to the final, and potentially avenge our opening defeat against the Greeks.

"If we make the final, it would then be great if the media back home recognise the players' achievements, and help raise the profile of blind football even further."

If England finish in the top 3, they also secure qualification for World Cup in Argentina next summer.

France will take on Greece in the first semi-final in Torremolinos at 4.30pm on Thursday afternoon, with England set to take on Spain at 6.00pm.

With a large number of English holidaymakers and ex-pats growing increasingly interested in the fortunes of Tony Larkin's side, they are assued of a small, newfound but passionate band of supporters.
