Sir Alf Ramsey remains the most succesful manager in history, having steered the Three Lions to the ultimate prize in football - The World Cup.
England's victory at Wembley in 1966 will live long in the memory and Sir Alf was the man who made it happen, coming into his own in particular during England's extra-time victory over Germany, telling his players, "You've won it once now go out and win it again."
Having taken Ipswich from the old Third Division to English Champions in 1962, Sir Alf became the England manager a year later and predicted that his side would lift the Jules Rimet in 1966.
He fulfilled his own prophecy in dramatic fashion as England qualified from their group and then triumphed over Portugal, Argentina and Germany in the knock out stages to rule the footballing world.
