Biography

Rachel is the most capped England Women's player in history.

When she turned out against Croatia in the final Euro 2013 qualifier, the winger surpassed the tally she had shared with Gillian Coultard and set a new record of 120 appearances.

In July 2010, Rachel became only the second Women’s player in to reach the 100-cap mark, behind Coultard.

She was left out of the squad for Euro 2009 but roared back to form in World Cup qualifying and celebrated her 100th appearance with a goal and the captain’s armband as Turkey were defeated 3-0 at Walsall's Banks's Stadium - the same venue where she set the new record.

She also scored England's second goal in their 2-0 victory over eventual champions Japan in the 2011 World Cup.

Rachel made her England debut in 1997. She has played in two World Cups (2007 and 2011), two European Championships (2001 and 2005) and the 2012 Olympic Games. She has also won countless honours with Arsenal Ladies.
