Ellen White

A tall, strong forward, Ellen really made a name for herself during the World Cup qualifiers, and then subsequently in the Finals themselves.

She scored on her debut against Austria in March 2010 and has now scored seven goals in 21 internationals, including a wonderful lob against eventual world champions Japan in Augsburg.

Signed for Arsenal Ladies from Leeds Carnegie, where she won The FA Women’s Premier League Cup in February 2010, her goals helped fire the Gunners to a domestic treble of The FA Women's Cup, The FA WSL and The FA WSL Continental Cup last season.

  • I felt very proud watching our womens England team, they did us proud. I said after the dismal performance by our highly paid male England team that I would never buy another England shirt, I now proudly wear a no.9 England shirt bearing the name E. WHITE By THE DOG (6 months ago)
  • Super goal Ellen! What a thrill to beat the good Japanese side. We were cheering you on with our friends this evening. All the best for the World Cup!! By footie girl (7 months ago)
