Capped by England at U16 and U17 level, his first call-up for the U19 squad came in 2011 when he was picked for the game with Germany in Chesterfield.
Highly rated at Old Trafford, where he has been a regular for the reserve and Academy side over the last few seasons, Tunnicliffe was part of the England U17 squad which went to the European Championship Finals of 2009 in Germany.
