Tom plays his club football for Manchester United where he has no shortage of role models in his own position, Thorpe is a good passer of the ball and very composed in possession.
Also competent in the air, Thorpe made his first England appearance in 2008 when he featured for the U16s in the Victory Shield before progressing through the U17s, U18s and U19s.
Thorpe can also play in midfield and was an impressive performer for Noel Blake's U19s in qualifying for the European Championship Finals in 2012 when he expertly featured in a holding midfield role.
