The right-back is a product of Barnsley's academy and made his debut for the Tykes in the Championship in March 2012 before going on to impress with his performances.
His first call-up for England came later that year when Noel Blake named him in the U19s squad to play Germany in Hamburg in September.
In January 2013, Yorkshireman Stones was signed by Premier League side Everton.
