Current club: Norwich City
John received his first England Senior team call-up when he was included in Roy Hodgson’s squad for Euro 2012.
The Norwich goalkeeper played in all but one of the Canaries’ Premier League matches last season, helping guide Paul Lambert’s side to a respectable 12th-place finish.
Ruddy began his career at Cambridge United, making his first-team debut against Leyton Orient in 2004. David Moyes took him to Everton in the summer of 2005 and he went on to enjoy loan spells at Walsall, Rushden & Diamonds, Chester, Stockport County, Wrexham and Bristol City.
The same summer he signed for the Toffees, Ruddy was named in Martin Hunter’s England U19 squad for the European Championship Finals in Northern Ireland, although he never featured.
Further loan spells followed at Crewe and Motherwell before Norwich signed him in July 2010.
