Biography

A highly-rated goalkeeper who has been a regular with the England development teams over the years and is now recognised at club level thanks to his performances for Norwich City, where he emerged through the Academy.

A tall and composed stopper, Diss-born Declan will be hoping his experiences at international level can aid him in the future.

After featuring for England at U16, U17 and U20 level, it has been with the U19s where he has picked up the most caps. He was part of the Young Lions squad which headed to Ukraine in July 2009 for the European U19 Championship Finals whilst still a year young, as back-up to Jason Steele and tasted the experience of going all the way to the Final in that competition.

His performances during the 2009-10 campaign then played a big role in helping the U19s to the Euro Finals in France.
