Biography

A tall, strong, attacking midfielder, Nick's international career began when he played twice in England’s successful Victory Shield campaign of 2009-10, making his debut in the 1-0 win over Northern Ireland and then going onto the Montaigu Tournament where he scored his first England goal in the 6-0 dismissal of Gabon.

He made his U17 bow at the start of the 2010-11 season and became a regular over the season whilst also becoming a regular in the Crewe first-team. He was part of John Peacock's U17 squad which reached the semi-final of the European Championship Finals and then prgressed to the quarter final of the FIFA U17 World Cup in Mexico.

The 2011-12 campaign saw his form with Crewe have the scouts flocking to Gresty Road and after firing a memorable goal at Wembley in the Play-Off Final to help the Railwaymen to promotion, he was signed by Manchester United in the summer of 2012 where he will hope to continue his impressive development.
