The livewire forward was first called up for international duty in 2010 when he was picked by U19s Head Coach Noel Blake for the friendly game with Slovakia at Crewe Alexandra.
He played his part in that match too, making a lively debut as a second half substitute to help the Young Lions to a 2-0 win.
Jeffers had already featured for the first team at Coventry City by this stage, appearing in the Championship towards the end of the 2009-10 campaign.
His international debut was also lauded in Cheltenham, as Jeffers was on loan with the Whaddon Road club when he featured for Blake's team, thus becoming the first player to be on the books at Cheltenham Town to represent England at any level.
