A towering centre-back, Ryan was a dominant force in England's defence during the 2010-11 season. He scored the crucial second goal as England beat Scotland 2-1 to lift the Victory Shield in March 2011 and he also captained his country against Guinea and France, leading them to further glory in the Montaigu Tournament in France.
Ryan admits he is trying to learn as much as he can from Crystal Palace skipper Paddy McCarthy and the 16-year-old has recently signed a professional contract with the Eagles.
