Biography

Current club: Arsenal

Kieran, a left-back or left-sided midfielder, made seven Championship appearances for Norwich City on loan from Arsenal before making great progress at both club and international level in 2008-09.

For the Gunners he featured in eight Premier League games, was an ever-present in The FA Cup as they won through to the Semi-Finals and even started both legs of their Champions League semi-final with Manchester United.

For England Under-21s he won his first cap as a substitute for Joe Mattock in the friendly with Ecuador on 10 February 2009 and went on to appear in all five games at the European Finals in Sweden, holding his nerve to score in the semi-final shootout with the hosts.

He started the first six internationals of 2009-10 before being injured playing for Arsenal.

He was back involved in Arsenal's pre-season training and selected by Fabio Capello in the squad to face Hungary at Wembley, in the first international of the 2010-11 season. He came on at half-time for Ashley Cole as the Three Lions ran out 2-1 winners.
