Biography

Frank has been a goalkeeper with Premier League Blackburn Rovers for three seasons, but has gained all his first-team experience on loan at Football League clubs.

He made 36 League appearances for League Two Wycombe Wanderers in 2007-08 and 12 and 23 appearances respectively for Northampton Town and Rochdale in the same division in 2008-09.

After picking up two caps for England’s U19s he made his debut for Stuart Pearce’s Under-21s as a substitute for the injured Joe Lewis in a friendly against Czech Republic at Bramall Lane on 18 November 2008. England won the game 2-0.

Frankie’s second Under-21 appearance came in a friendly against Holland in Groningen at the start of 2009-10, this time as a substitute for Scott Loach.

He made his full debut for Stuart Pearce's side against Uzbekistan in August 2010, a day before being drafted into the Senior squad for their friendly against Hungary at Wembley.
