Robbie featured seven times for the England U16 team in season 2009-10. He made his debut against Wales in Yeovil and then came off the bench to help the Young Lions beat Scotland 2-1 at Tynecastle, a win which saw England clinch the Victory Shield for the ninth year in succession.
The Blackburn Rovers midfielder then featured in all five matches in the Montaigu Tournament, scoring against Portugal in the Final.
