Biography

A pacy and powerful player, who made his England debut for the U19 side in September 2009, when he made a goalscoring start  by bagging the winner against Russia at Shrewsbury's New Meadow Stadium.

Capable of playing in defence or midfield, Brown was spotted playing for the reserves at club level with Manchester United, where older brother Wes was amongst the first team squad and he then on to become a regular with the England U19 team during the 2009-10 campaign. That ended in a trip to the European Championship Finals, where Brown helped England to secure their place at the FIFA U20 World Cup in Colombia. He was duly picked by Head Coach Brian Eastick for that competition too, having earlier made his U20 bow against France in February 2011.

Born in Manchester, Brown also possesses a fierce shot, so can be useful from attacking set-pieces as well as in his regular role in defence.
