Laura is a solid, dependable defender who goes about her game with a quiet authority. She was a star performer for England’s U19s before making her senior bow as a substitute against Italy in 2003. She played in the Iceland friendly in July 2009 and the World Cup qualifier with Malta in October and is now established in the senior set-up. Operates at centre back for her club, Birmingham City, but features more in midfield for her country.
