AFC Bournemouth sealed their place in the Third Round Proper and a trip to the Reebok Stadium on Wednesday night, when they saw off opposition from AFC Wimbledon at Kingsmeadow.

The scoreline makes it appear a five-star performance from the Cherries, but youth team manager Joe Roach feels there is still room for improvement from his team ahead of their trip to face Bolton Wanderers next month.

The Dons provided a somewhat physical test for Roach's team and there was no shortage of tackles in the early stages of the game, but once Bournemouth had overcome that, they took the lead through Matt Kemble's 12th minute opener.

He then made it 2-0 six minutes after half time and that led to a further three goals in the final 30 minutes, with Jay Stockley grabbing a brace and Danny Ings adding a neat finish to seal the result.

"I've got to be pleased with the lads putting five goals in, but we'll have to work on other areas of play before we play Bolton," Roach told TheFA.com after the game.

"We need to ensure that these lads can deal with the rigours of professional football. If these lads do go on to play professional football, they may come up against non-League teams in The FA Cup and they'll need to be a bit braver than we were at times tonight.

"The work rate and team cohesion is tremendous though and I think that got us the result.

"To get a prime draw like Bolton is brilliant for the club and for the lads and to go and play at a stadium like that is fantastic.
