Manchester United begin their defence of the FA Youth Cup on Friday night when they host Torquay United in an intriguing Third Round tie.
The Premier League giants won the trophy for a record tenth time in May, beating Sheffield United in The Final, and a number of that team have since made senior appearances in Sir Alex Ferguson's first team.
United boast one of the finest academies in Europe and its well-oiled production line has a history of producing world-class players who have enjoyed great success in The Youth Cup down the years.
But Torquay's Head of Youth Geoff Harrop sees the game as a wonderful opportunity for his youngsters to pit their wits against the best.
"We are absolutely elated," he told BBC South West. "It's fantastic to have the prestige of playing Manchester United and be flying the flag for Devon.
"Those boys have got to play in a Premier League team and a team full of internationals, so it will give our boys an idea of where they've got to go.
"Players develop at different stages and who's to say that one of our players doesn't get sold to a club that is in the Premier League one day.
"The experience will be worth its weight in gold. We're going to go there and have a right go at them."
