Fulham's young stars reached the last eight of The FA Youth Cup sponsored by E.ON with a 3-1 victory away at Ipswich Town.

Second-half goals from Alex Smith, Aaron Pierre and Marcelo Trotta secured their passage to the next round, but they had to come from behind against the 2005 Youth Cup winners.

It wasn't until the 58th minute that the first goal arrived. Irishman Ronan Murray gave the Suffolk outfit the advantage from the penalty spot after he was brought down in the area by Bettinelli, much to the delight of the 1,500 fans in attendance.

But within ten minutes Fulham were back on terms when Smith tucked away Courtney Harris's cross. Pierre put the visitors in front soon after before Fulham were handed their own penalty kick in injury time.

Trotta was the man pushed and he finished well from the spot to send Gary Brazil's side through.

The Cottagers join Blackburn Rovers and Chelsea in the Quarter Finals and will face the winners of the Aston Villa and Millwall tie. They meet at Villa Park on Friday 12 February.
