Arsenal captain Jay Emmanuel-Thomas praised the input of manager Steve Bould after the young Gunners came from a goal down to beat Tottenham 3-1 and book their place in the Semi-Final of The FA Youth Cup.

Emmanuel-Thomas scored with a superb left-footed shot from the edge of the box in the last minute before Rhys Murphy scored a third late on to seal the victory.

And the Arsenal skipper was delighted with the team's response to coming in at the interval a goal down after Jonathan Obika's early strike for the hosts.

"It's a great result for us," he said. "At half time we thought we could win it and we just had to keep going.

"The manager told us to keep going and to hit the target and the goals would come and that's what we did.

"I was always confident that we could win as we've got some great players who can do a lot of damage to other teams."
