The FA Women's Premier League Cup

Donny do it

Doncaster Rovers Belles 3-1 Preston North End
FA Tesco Women's Premier League Cup
Semi-Final
Sunday 7 December 2008

Doncaster Rovers Belles will face Arsenal in The FA Tesco Women's Premier League Cup Final after clinching victories over Preston North End and Chelsea respectively.

Doncaster scored twice inside the first seven minutes with Rachel Williams and Emily Heckler on target, giving Preston an uphill battle to make it into the Final.

North End were not beaten however and clawed their way back into the game and were rewarded with a goal six minutes before half-time as Anisha Bateman reduced their arrears.

When Suzanne Davies restored Doncaster's two-goal advantage shortly after the interval it was enough to prevent a Preston fightback and the Belles held on to take their place in the Final.

Arsenal will be their opponents as the Gunners beat Chelsea comfortably with Julie Fleeting scoring twice in a 4-0 victory.

The Gunners booked their fifth consecutive appearance in the League Cup Final with a win over their London rivals, with an own-goal from Sophie Perry setting them on their way in the first-half.

Julie Fleeting scored from close range in the 56th minute, before Jayne Ludlow and a further effort from Fleeting wrapped up the victory in the closing stages.
