Everton booked their place in The FA Tesco Women's Premier League Cup Final with a dramatic extra time victory over Arsenal.

Natasha Dowie gave Everton the lead, and their hopes of victory were given a further boost when the Gunners were reduced to ten players as 'keeper Emma Byrne saw red.

Showing typical defiance Arsenal got back into the game just eleven minutes after that setback, Kim Little again on the scoresheet to put her side back in the match.

Despite playing at home and enjoying numerical advantage, Everton could not edge in front in normal time and the game went into extra time. In the second period, with penalties looming, Emily Westwood scored to give the Toffees the win and a place in the Final for the first time since lifting the trophy two years ago - with victory over Arsenal.

The other finalists are not yet known as Chelsea's tie with Leeds Carnegie was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
