It was a successful night for the three home sides that hosted FA Carlsberg Vase replays on Wednesday night, with all of them winning their Second Round Qualifying ties.

Bacup Borough got the better of Padiham with a 3-1 victory, following on from their 1-1 draw at the weekend.

Continental Star and Friar Lane & Epworth fought out a dour 0-0 draw on Saturday but their second attempt at settling the tie was a three-goal affair as Continental triumphed with a 2-1 win.

Blackstones and Glossop North End was another goalless draw at the weekend, but Glossop fans were treated to a four-goal replay with their side getting three of those goals to Blackstones single reply.

For all their hard work, over 180 minutes of football, all three of Wednesday night's victors will now have to look for further success on the road. Bacup face a trip to Rossendale United, Glossop North End head to Gedling Town and Continental Star will travel to Boldmere St Michaels.

The FA Vase First Round Proper ties will commence on 1 October with AFC Dunstable and London Colney competing on a Friday evening, with the rest of the ties due to take place over the weekend.
