Bristol Manor Farm will be hoping to make up for lost time when they take on Peacehaven & Telscombe in the Third Round on Saturday.

John Black's side were in good form in 2008 when they took a trip to Fareham Town and delivered a fine performance to win 3-0. However, it was to be the Bristol side's last game in the competition after it was revealed they had fielded an ineligible player.

Manager John Black explained: "I'm still gutted about that, because it was a young lad, a kid who was only about 17, and I put him on for the last five minutes. He told me that his suspension was finished before he signed for me, but, by all accounts, he was wrong.

"At the time we were playing really well, so to be honest we felt aggrieved about it, but rules are rules and we have got no excuses at the end of the day.

"We are looking forward to Saturday as we have only one player is missing, and there aren't any other injuries so we'll go down there and give it our best shot.

"When you are in The Vase you don't get many chances at this level, you got to try and go all the way."

Their opponents, Peacehaven & Telscombe, are champions of the Sussex County Division Two, but Black believes this does not matter as his side find themselves eleventh in the Western Football League Premier.

"They are at an equivalent level to us, and we are definitely confident we can win the game," he concluded.
