The FA Sunday Cup Third Round produced a glut of goals at the weekend with eight fixtures going ahead despite the icy conditions.

Travellers lived up to their name with a 5-1 away win over FC Houghton Centre at Leighton Town's ground to ensure their name is in the hat for Round Four.

Comets Sports club and Clumber contested a thrilling 4-4 draw before Comets triumphed 4-3 in a penalty shootout in front of their home fans.

It was a far more one sided affair at Croydon Athletic's ground where Golden Lion played host to Club Lewsey. The visitors tamed the Lions with an 8-2 win.

Elsewhere Bedfont Sunday waited until extra time to get their brace of goals in the 2-0 win over AC Sportsman & Ravensborough. Substitute Lee Morley got the home side's second goal with a headed finish late on. Former Brentford trainee Ryan Lake drove the Middlesex side on from midfield but could not break the deadlock in normal time before his side's superior fitness proved decisive in the addition half hour.
