Birmingham County FA’s were jubilant on Saturday after defeating Wiltshire County FA 2-1 to reach the Final of The FA County Youth Cup.
Birmingham started off strong with Tom Giddings coming close with a delightful header which just tippled over the bar.
With a dynamic midfield featuring James Brown and James Braid, it was Birmingham that took the lead via a header from Todd Corry in the 20th minute after a wonderful cross which dipped neatly in the penalty box for Corry to finish.
Wiltshire’s Daniel Young was the main man leading the visitor's response, at it required Birmingham’s strong defence led by captain Craig Stevens to keep them at bay.
Wiltshire almost came close to an equaliser from a brilliant Maximillium Etheridge effort, which was stuck with hurricane strength which hit the bar.
Jack Moody also came close but Birmingham's Liam Doyle scrambled the ball from the line.
Despite Wiltshire's possession it was Birmingham who extended their lead with 20 minutes left as Joel Fuller made it 2-0.
However, minutes later Wiltshire finally got their much deserved goal as Stuart Greener scrambled his way through the Birmingham defence to unleash a wicked shot that flew into the back of the net.
Greener nearly levelled in injury time his but header just shaved the bar and Birmingham held on to take their place in The Final.
