Rafferty out of England squad ahead of this week's matches

Claire Rafferty has withdrawn from the England Women’s squad ahead of their double-header against Germany and Bosnia & Herzegovina because of a knee injury.

Arsenal defender and former England U23s captain Jemma Rose has been called up as a replacement.

England travel to Duisburg today [Tuesday] where they will face European champions Germany in an international friendly on Thursday 26 November.

The match is live on the BBC Red Button (KO 5pm GMT).

The squad will then return to England to play Bosnia at Ashton Gate, Bristol, as part of their UEFA Women’s Euro 2017 qualifying campaign.

It is the Lionesses’ first home match since finishing third at this summer’s FIFA Women’s World Cup and is live on BBC Two from 3.15pm (KO 3.30pm).

Tickets for the Bosnia qualifier are still available, priced at £5 for adults and £2.50 for children.

A family ticket (two adults and two children), priced £10, is also available.
