The fixture lists for all three divisions of the English Football League have been released, ahead of the 2016-17 campaign.

Kicking-off over the weekend commencing Friday 5 August, clubs in the Championship, League One and League Two now know where they will be starting the new season.

And for three of the Championship newcomers relegated from the top flight it's a trip on the road, with Fulham hosting Newcastle United in the first game of the season on Friday 5 August.

Aston Villa also start away from home, as they head to Hillsborough to play last season's losing play-off finalists Sheffield Wednesday.

Norwich City will also be heading north to kick-off the season as they play Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

In League One, Bolton Wanderers will host Sheffield United on the opening day and in League Two the pick of the opening day games sees Blackpool host Exeter City and Portsmouth play Carlisle United, two of the longest trips in the English football calendar.
